Job Description

As a Bellperson you will work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, environment to deliver the best quality service to our guests:

  • Read luggage tags and provides claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery
  • Assist arriving and departing guests with their luggage into the lobby
  • Escorts arriving guests to Front Desk and introduces to Guest Service Agent
  • Assist guest with hand luggage, and escorts guests to rooms and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
  • Explains features of room such as operation of heating/cooling system, radio, television, and night lock, and how to place telephone calls.
  • Retrieves baggage carts from secure area and delivers to guest rooms
  • Retrieve luggage from luggage storage for departing guests.   
  • Delivers messages, packages and runs errands for guests
  • Maintains driveway traffic flow to allow main hotel entrance accessibility
  • Greets guests upon arrival/departure of the hotel.  Opens doors for all arriving and departing guests.
  • Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
  • Tidies lobby and front entrance
  • Requests taxi cabs upon guest requests.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays and a rotating schedule
  • Ability to perform the following: carrying, pushing, or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds
  • High School graduate diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • 6 months to 1 year customer service experience.  
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
